Getting Here

Take the Train!

We will have train service again this year from the Virginia Railway Express (VRE). VRE offers service from Manassas through to Clifton and from Springfield (Rolling Road) back to Clifton and all stops in between. The train ride to Clifton is FREE and the return trip costs $5 per person (second grade and under $2, two years old and under free). The schedule for 2007 is as follows (we don't yet have this for 2008):

Take a Car!

If you can't take the train, we have plenty of parking right here in Clifton. Admission to Clifton Day is free, but there is a fee for parking.

  • All roads through town will be closed on Clifton Day. There is no parking on the streets leading into Clifton. This is strictly enforced by the Fairfax County Police.
  • We recommend that you approach Clifton from the east on Chapel Road or from the south on Clifton Road. Abundant parking is available at both locations. Either can be reached via Route 123.
  • Coming from the north (Route 29 or Centreville) will be more congested and parking will fill early.
  • Handicapped parking is available at all entrances.

Just get here!

Regardless of your mode of transportation, you might find a map of the Clifton Area helpful. If you have difficulty viewing PDF files, view the JPEG version of the map of the Clifton Area, or download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader.
